That's right, if your own a lifestyle or rural property, get an appraisal, list or sell your property with one of LJ Hooker's rural specialists, you will go into the draw to win a 2025 Can-Am Defender.
How it works:
If you apprise, list and sell your property with LJ Hooker before 30 November, 2026, you could have up to five opportunities to win a Can-Am.
You will get one entry for an in-person appraisal, two entries if you list your property and two entries if you sell your property with our LJ Hooker rural specialists between 26 January, 2026 and 30 November, 2026.

Eligibility:
This competition is open to New Zealand residents who are 18 years and over and own a rural or lifestyle property that meet the following conditions:
- At least one hectare and located in North Otago, East Otago or Maniototo; or
- Valued at $1,000,000 or more and located in South Canterbury; or
- Valued at $2,000,000 or more and located in Otago, Southland, Canterbury, Mid-Canterbury, West Coast or Tasman.

Terms and Conditions
Promotion: Robertson Real Estate Limited Can-Am Competition 2026
Promoter: Robertson Real Estate Limited (NZBN 9429030268289) of 193 Thames Street, Oamaru 9400
Promotion Period: The period between 12:00am NZST 26 January 2026 to 11:59pm NZST 30 November 2026.
Definitions:
Appraisal: A valid sales appraisal conducted by a Robertson Real Estate Limited rural specialist.
Listings: A valid listing with Robertson Real Estate Limited.
Agency Agreement: means an executed, written contract with a LJ Hooker Oamaru for the provision of property sales services that is compliant with all legislation and regulations relevant to the conduct of a real estate agent in the location of the property.
Eligible Entrants: Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who are 18 years and over and own at least one (1) rural or lifestyle property that meet the following conditions:
- At least one (1) hectare and located in North Otago, East Otago or Maniototo; or
- Valued at one million dollars ($1,000,000) or more and located in South Canterbury; or
- Valued at two million dollars ($2,000,000) or more and located in Otago, Southland, Canterbury, Mid-Canterbury, West Coast or Tasman.
Entry is not open to:
- Directors, officers, management members or employees (and the immediate family members of directors, officers, management members or employees) of the Promoter or any other LJ Hooker franchisees or associated companies; or
- otherwise involved in the conduct or management of the Promotion.
No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Promotion. Where entry is allowed online, there is no additional cost to enter the Promotion other than any cost paid by the entrant to access the website or social media platform of entry via their Internet service provider.
All entries are subject to the approval of Robertson Real Estate Limited and that they mee the above conditions.
How to Enter
To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
Own at least one (1) rural or lifestyle property in Southland, East Otago, North Otago, South Otago, Canterbury or Maniototo; and
Book and complete an Appraisal for a rural or lifestyle property they own with a Robertson Real Estate Limited rural specialist; or
Sign an agency agreement with a Robertson Real Estate Limited rural specialist; or
Sign a legally binding sale and purchase agreement on the eligible property.
Each Eligible Entrant who book and complete an appraisal, list and /or sells during the promotion period will be entered int the Prize Draw.
Entries Permitted:
Eligible Entrants will receive entries based on the following actions for each property they own, (rural or lifestyle):
- Qualifying Appraisal Entry: One (1) entry will be awarded for each property appraised by a LJ Hooker Oamaru rural specialist during the Prize Draw Period (January 26, 2026, at 12:00 AM to November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM NZST).
- Qualifying Listing Entries: Two (2) additional entries will be awarded for each property listed for sale with a Robertson Real Estate Limited rural specialist during the Prize Draw Period.
- Qualifying Sold Entries: Two (2) additional entries will be awarded for each property sold through Robertson Real Estate Limited during the Prize Draw Period, provided the sale is completed (settlement finalised) by November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM NZST.
Each entry must be submitted in accordance with the entry requirements outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
Multiple entries are permitted per Eligible Entrant, with each unique property qualifying for up to five (5) total entries (1 for appraisal, +2 for listing, +2 for selling), provided all conditions are met.
Prize:
The prize is a 2025 Can-am Defender HD9 4WD Side by Side with Cab Kit, front and rear glass screen, front window wiper, tow ball and mirror fitted, valued at $34,399.
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. The winner must collect the prize from Oamaru or organise delivery at the winner’s own expense.
Prize Draw:
All eligible entries will be entered into an electronic random draw conducted on December 2, 2026, at Robertson Real Estate Limited premises, 193 Thames Street, Oamaru 9400.
One participant will be randomly selected as the “Prize winner”.
Unclaimed Prize Draw:
If the Prize is not claimed by the winner of the Prize Draw in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, an unclaimed prize draw will be held on December 16, 2026 at the same time and place as the original Prize Draw. All Qualifying Entries (except the Qualifying Entry drawn in the Prize Draw) will be entered in the unclaimed prize draw and one (1) Qualifying Entry will be randomly drawn.
Winner Notification and Claiming the Prize:
The Promoter will, within 2 business days of the Prize Draw on December 2, 2026, notify the Selected Entrant via phone or in writing by email and will have 14 days to acknowledge and accept the prize.
The prize winner may be subject to providing any necessary documentation (e.g., identification, proof of residency) to confirm eligibility.
Unclaimed Prize Process
If the Selected Entrant fails to claim the Prize opportunity in accordance with the above, they will be deemed to have forfeited their chance, and the Promoter will conduct an Unclaimed Prize Draw.
The Promoter will notify the winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw via phone or in writing by email and will have 14 days to acknowledge and accept the prize.
Publication of Winners
The name (surname and initial of first name) and postcode and/or region of residence of the Selected Entrant (and the winner, if they select the winning envelope) will be published on LJ Hooker Oamaru’s social media accounts as well as in the Oamaru Mail within 7 business days of the Prize Draw on December 2, 2026, and/or the Unclaimed Prize Draw, if applicable.
